In the summer of 2009, Rick Goodfellow and Ian Evans undertook an improbable journey - to circumnavigate Iceland by bicycle.  Although the trip took place in the summer, the pair encountered weather more akin to deep winter, with headwinds on 18 of the 21 days, heavy rain and average temperatures of 7 degrees.

Their subsequent documentary film of the adventure was released at the local Gorge Cinema.  At the show, the idea of forming the Elora Adventurers was presented to the audience.  The response was overwhelming with the first show taking place in March 2010.  Since then there have been over 70 events.

The Elora Adventurers reaches an ever expanding audience and meets monthly, summers excepted.  Our presenters, ranging from students to retirees, showcase a wide variety of personal experiences, from worldwide adventure travel to other passionate pursuits.

Our shows, which have featured every continent on earth, have been as varied as cycling through India and Australia and volunteering in Africa to life as a local vet in Ontario.

"Adventure is in the eye of the beholder".
